This Week I Thrifted...

red1

Skirt? Thrifted Sweater? Gap, thrifted Belt? Thrifted Necklace? F21

What? A Cashmere/wool skirt. It has no brand label attached but the finishings and the hand of the fabric speak of luxury. And you know I'm fancy...
Where? Talize
How much? $7.99 minus 10% and a donation coupon.
Why? I'm horrible at making big life decisions. I just stew ideas, grind my teeth and turn the same things over and over in my head. So this weekend I went to Talize to think. Maybe that's weird but there is something peaceful to me about searching through racks of potential. Not only did the little thrift trip clear my mind, it was also the most successful thrift trip I've had in over a month. I cleaned up.
This skirt is perfectly on trend with its longer hem and vibrant colour and the quality is top notch. I wish you could feel how soft the material is. It's as soft as Kyle, our softest cat... I now wish you could feel how soft Kyle is. But you'll just have to believe me...

Oh thrifting, thanks for being my therapy... again.

i found some nude canvas pumps, steve madden navy blazer, vintage 80's top, a dress, a great brown clutch and a tye-dye tank which i would normally never buy thrifted but the tags were still on it so i gave because i've just been wanting one. all for $25 total! i hadn't been shopping in a loooooong time and NEVER find good shoes so it was a pretty exciting haul!

I just grabbed a giant silk cheetah print scarf and a vintage dress that looks like a classic raincoat and a military flight mechanic's suit had a baby. Trust me, it's fantastic.

I haven't been thrifting since the late winter/early spring.
To say I have the "itch" is an understatement.
Especially seeing you show off such a delicious find like that skirt....

Now that I am unemployed, thrifting will be basically my ONLY means of adding anything to my closets.
Let the games begin!

Thrifting is therapy. I've been feeling off since the big wedding last weekend and insisted that we go thrifting today. We did, no great finds (except Hulk Hands for the grandson), but I am back to normal. Beautiful skirt!

Well, after all your posts with the red blazer I found my own - a vintage Oscar de la Renta for $2.50. I also got a great high-waisted skirt, strappy BCBG heels and a pair of Anne Klein boots.

I am always so inspired by your thrifting abilities ... I get SO frustrated whenever I go into a thrift store that I vow to never do it again. And then I read your posts and decide I should give it one more shot. Thanks for the continued inspiration!!

I find a lot of awesome vintage wool skirts... but I feel like I need to bring them to a tailor to have them fit me better. I also need to have my legs surgically enhanced to be longer. Because below the knee + midget legs = just not flattering.

And my 'what i thrifted' post is coming this week ;)

A Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress! I am not super into labels but I am really proud of this one. It's really unique and well-made. A little bit small but I'm going to make it work.

LOVE this entire outfit- what great finds! A couple of weeks ago I found a DKNY navy moto-jacket (brand new) and a vintage Pollini cross-body bag...I was a happy girl that day! :)

That skirt is a killer find! Love the combo you've put together here. My most recent awesome thrift find is a Paul Smith blazer for $5 at Salvation Army. It fits me perfectly and is of exceptional quality!

I don't comment on blogs often, but I wanted to share my latest thrift find with someone who would appreciate it. I found a lemon yellow skirt for $3 at my local thrift store. The yellow was a bit bright for the season to come so I bought some fabric dye in "sunshine orange". Now I have a fabulous golden yellow skirt for only $6 total and some dye for stock pile!
