Skirt? Emanuel Ungaro, thrifted
Blazer? Braemar, thrifted
Button-up? Gap
Heels? Derek Lam, Holt's LC
Beaded purse? thrifted by my mom (thanks!)

In Grade 8, I had a wicked, awesome Reebok sweater that I wore a lot. Ok, maybe I wore it too much but hell yeah, it was name brand sweater...better recognize. Anyways, some snot in highschool noticed my overuse of the Reebok sweater and started calling me 'Reebok Girl'. It's bad news bears when the most popular girl in Grade 9 makes fun of you to all her friends and that sweater rarely came out again.

The blog world is much kinder... when we repeat clothing, we never call it overuse, we call it Remixing. Clare at Between Laundry Days is currently remixing some of her summer work wear to be autumn appropriate at her new job. S. from academichic is remixing like a pro because she's abroad for a year with weight restrictions on her luggage...eeeek! Rebecca from The Clotheshorse is remixing because...well, because she's pretty much the Queen of Remixing...
The point of my story is... don't make fun of me because I've worn this blazer in 3 of my last 4 outfit posts. I finally found the perfect blazer in a fine wool for $6 (!) and I'm discovering that it goes with...everything. And as a dutiful fashion blogger, I'm just reporting my findings.

I have yet to find the perfect blazer. Since you were lucky enough to find one, i say WORK IT.

I love the outfit - perfect balance of color. Usually I think ruffles are too feminine-looking for me, but I love the shirt you are wearing!

Gorgeous photos, amazing locations. I love the way you always manage to look both incredibly stunning and yet absolutely real.

I was a bit bemused when I first came across the term 'remixing'. It's such a normal and obvious thing to do, I can't believe it even has a name . .

HEY! BLAZER GIRL!

Wow....nice photos...how fashiontoast of you! LOL!
Seriously, did you guys go searching for the perfect spot? Nerds!

P.s. I love the Braemar blazer. You should keep wearing it! In fact you should wear it to bed.

Ok, love the purse!

I wear the same pants and blazer to work at least twice a week... its fine ;) As long as you mix it up, people can't really tell you are wearing the same thing.

WHOAH! I love and adore these shots! Soo amazing colors and scenery!

Why would I make fun when I am clearly envious of the perfect blazer you found? I would sooner chastise you for NOT wearing it as much as possible! It is seriously amazing. With a blazer like this, who needs shopping? ;)

the blazer is amazing, and remixing the hell out of it just makes it more priceless! i love the contrast between the dark blue of the blazer and light blue mini-stripes on the shirt with the coral skirt. and the ruffles are heaven... but then I'm crazy about ruffles kinda like you are about sequins :)

PS a similar-sounding 9th grader made fun of me in 7th grade for my thrifted black bell bottoms with strips of leopard print down each side. i never wore those pants again... but I really wish I had!

Those ruffles are PERFECT!! So freaking chic!

I didn't even notice that you wore it that often, I had to go back and look at the older posts! It definitely goes with everything, so keep rockin it.

Thanks for all the compliments guys... I will definately rock this jacket ALOT more... you'll get sick of it.
Nadine-I agree, remixing is totally normal. But maybe wearing the jacket 4 times in 8 days is excessive. Oh well, defferent events..no crowd overlap..

Love the outfit!!

Hell yeaz about the remixin'! I love this post, way to stick it to those remix/rewear nay-sayers. This blazer is fabulous and I would be wearing it a ton too if it were in my possession.

Thanks for the sweet shout-out, lady!

I love the photo of you crossing the road--it's so expansive and evocative. The color of your skirt, too, is wonderful, and never mind wearing the same thing again and again: it's badass.

I totally agree about remixing! I think rewearing things while keeping it fresh is what makes you a truly stylish person, because otherwise, how easy is it to just buy new things every day and wear them?
